Self-Service is
a means of service delivery that combines the advantages of convenience to the
customer with cost reductions to the provider. In the last 25 years, technology
evolution contributed to the development and the enhancement of a large number of
self-service devices. In banking, for instance, ATMs and Cash-Dispensers have been
a major example of the usage and expansion possibilities of this delivery channel.
If we take into account the additional self-service categories like the Vending
Machines, Call-Centers, e-Commerce, information kiosks, etc., we'll be dealing
with a product, service and technology area, under continuous expansion, which
represents a multibillion dollar world business.
AUTO-ATENDIMENTO/2003
(Self-Service), is an event that
gathers the main self-service related
product, service and technology suppliers, and their users - banks, retailers,
government, telecommunication enterprises, transportation and outsourcers, among
others. The event includes a conference, addressed to the presentation and
discussion of cases, experiences, strategies and results of the use of new
technologies for self-service, its management, evolution and challenges. Having
received the recognition and institutional support of bankers, retailers and
technology vendors associations, the show clearly demonstrates the strategic
importance of self-service to the marketplace.
The event's
audience consists of a highly influential group of around 200 professionals and
executives from many areas involved directly or indirectly with self-service, like
CIO's, IT managers, technology professionals, cards product managers, security
professionals, back-office supervisors, etc., most of them decision-makers, that
usually interact intensively with speakers, vendors and other participants.
The exhibition
consists of the main technology and service vendors aimed at the self-service
market, and is open freely to attract more than 1,000 executives and professionals
from many market segments, involved with self-service products, services and
technologies in their corporations, additionally to the conference attendees. Its
timing and environment are appropriate for the announcement and introduction of
innovations that will become available next year.
