Description
|
|
ABACO – Exhibition and Conference on Banking/Retail Automation and Self-Service is the pioneer Banking
Automation event in Brazil. Launched in 1989, it combines banking and retail automation with self-service,
considering the high synergy of these three areas. Along the 90s the event had large national and international
relevance, helping the dissemination and implementation of the main technologies that were adopted by the banks
in the country. It had an interruption after its 11th edition, in 1999, but resumed through other related
events: CREDIT – Exhibition and Conference on Credit Technologies and Services, in 2001 and three
editions of AA/Auto-Atendimento (Self-Service) – Exhibition and Conference on Products, Services and
Technologies for Self-Service, in 2002 to 2004.
ABACO is an event
aimed at high and medium IT banking and retail management professionals, with a two days agenda, covering the
main banking/retail automation and self-service subjects like: In Store Banking, Branch and Store Automation,
Back Office, ATM and other resources Sharing, IT Governance, Outsourcing, Free Software, Payment Systems,
Electronic Banking and Virtual Stores, Credit Technologies, Logistics, Security, RFID, Voice Recognition, VoIP,
Wireless, among others.
ABACO/2005, the 15th
edition will take place on the 19th and 20th of October, at the Frei Caneca Convention Center, in São Paulo,
Brazil. The conference will have about 20 presentations in the 2 days of the event, from 8:45 am to
06:30 pm, and requires a registration. The final sessions in the two days of the conference will be open to
previously listed visitors, and will consist of 8 presentations by the leading players in banking/retail
automation and self-service, to tell the audience about their vision on the main challenges, trends and
solutions to the market in the near future. The exhibition will be open freely to the interested
visitors, on the two days of the event, from 12:00 pm to 08:00 pm. The admittance is authorized by exhibitors
invitations or by a listing that can be provided previously by Internet or on site.

ABACO/2005 Conference will be held over two days. The
conference agenda is being established and is shown below in a preliminary condition. To attend the full
conference, registrations will be required and may be submitted through forms available at this site or by phone
(11) 3051-3159. On both days of the event, the final sessions from 16:30h to 18:30h will be open for the general
visitors provided a specific form is previously filled up and submitted, and are subject to confirmation by the
organizers. All the attendees registered regularly for the conference will be free to attend the open sessions
independently of confirmation.

ABACO/2005 event:

As an attendee, to participate in all of the event including the 2 days presentations, besides visiting
the exhibition. This requires a registration. Please click

As a visitor, with free access to the exhibition and to the open sessions of the conference (on the two days
of the event). If you want to visit only the exhibition, all you have to do is to fill up and send a form
available at this site (in Portuguese), and get the invitation that will be sent to you by e-mail. In that
case just click here. If you want additionally to attend the open
sessions you will have to fill and send another form (also in Portuguese) and, in this case, await for a
confirmation. This form is available clicking here.
